Contrary to the grey skies and cool temps today, summer is in full swing here in Waverly. Tonight kicks off one of Waverly’s favorite weekends – Heritage Days! Heritage Day’s is an annual summer event celebrating the town’s founding and history. In recent years the Heritage Days committee has made some fantastic improvements to the festivities and this year looks like it will be another great year!

Head to the parade tomorrow morning and look for the Bremer County Historical Society float to get their fundraiser card that you can bring in to the diner and have 10% of the cost of your meal donated to the BCHS. Donations will be made through Sunday for diners that present the BCHS card to their server.

From a 5k and the annual parade to concerts and fireworks there are plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy. For a full schedule of events head here!
